Cyber Oklahoma Foundation
Advancing Cyber Security in Oklahoma
ABOUT US
The Cyber Oklahoma Foundation is on a mission to grow cybersecurity in Oklahoma by supporting the development of the cybersecurity workforce and industry in our state.
Priority #1 – Grow High School Cyber Programs
CyberPatriot
CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation’s future. At the center of CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, which puts teams of high school and middle school students in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. This is a well organized, well operated program that provides an excellent educational experience for high school students.
CyberStart America
CyberStart America – A free national program for high school students to master cybersecurity as a gateway to the industry. The program is an online puzzle-solving game designed to identify cybersecurity talent and qualify participants for an opportunity to compete in the National Cyber Scholarship Competition. CyberStart America is free for high school students. The program uses the CyberStart puzzles that touch on topics like cryptography, social engineering, steganography, and Python programming.
Our intentions are to work with Oklahoma high schools, higher education and industry to grow participation in the programs. We believe this will result in a larger workforce in high demand, high paying jobs to meet the needs of industry in our state.
